Become a PMP in 2025: 6 Easy Steps

First and foremost, I highly recommend thoroughly reading and understanding the Exam Content Outline (ECO) available on the PMI website. Additionally, if you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to PMI customer service via phone or WhatsApp for assistance

1. Education and Experience:
• University Degree: 3 years (36 months) of experience and 4,500 hours in project management. 
• Without University Degree: 5 years (60 months) of experience and 7,500 hours in project management.
• Many do not know this: This experience can include volunteer work but must be in a professional setting.
2. Project Management Education: Complete at least 35 hours of formal project management education. This can be achieved through an Authorized Training Provider (ATP) or even a Udemy course. Many people use Andrew Ramdayal's courses for preparation. I recommend it. 
3. Preparation Simulator: Use a preparation simulator like the Pocket Prep App or PMI Study Hall, which includes practice questions and study resources. 4. Application and Approval: Submit your application to PMI, detailing your experience and education. Once approved, you'll receive authorization to take the exam.
5. PMP Exam: Pass the PMP certification exam which tests your project management knowledge and skills. Besides the PMBOK V7, read the Process Groups: A Practice Guide (2023) and other PMI resources.
6. Certification Renewal: Renew your certification every 3 years by accumulating 60 Professional Development Units (PDUs).
